'Ninja' Linked to More Than 100 Burglaries

A Staten Island man known as the "Ninja Burglar" has been arrested for his alleged role in more than 100 burglaries across three states, including New Jersey, over 10 years and is considered a suspect in similar crimes in Saddle River.

Robert Costanzo, 46, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a robbery in Connecticut and on Thursday to a burglary in New York, according to statements from the Richmond County District Attorney's Office in Staten Island. He has agreed to a plea deal covering crimes in all three states and has admitted to being the "Ninja Burglar."

Costanzo admitted to burglarizing more than 100 homes in Staten Island over a decade, District Attorney Michael E. McMahon said in the statement. He also targeted wealthy areas in upstate New York, New Jersey -- including Saddle River, Deal and Holmdel -- and Connecticut, McMahon said. …
