ASHTON UNITED know their fate is in their own hands as the play- off race goes down to the wire in the Evo-Stik Premier.

The Robins' league campaign ends today and they will battle it out with Stourbridge and Workington for the final two play-off spots.

And Ashton currently have the edge after getting back to winning ways on Tuesday night while Stourbridge lost on Thursday.

The Midlands outfit were leading 1-0 at Frickley with three minutes left, only to concede two penalties in the closing stages to lose 2-1 and stay joint-fourth with Ashton.

The Robins are above Stourbridge on goal difference, with Workington just a point behind them as they prepare to host 10th- placed Buxton.

Stourbridge are at home to thirdplaced SALFORD CITY, who have already secured a play-off spot and are unbeaten in eight, while Ashton must travel to Sutton Coldfield, who are 12th. …
