Hurricane Church to Host 'Music to Remember' Concert

Maestro Hector Olivera, a passionate, gifted and unique musician, will be performing in concert on the world-class Harrah Symphonic Organ at Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1. Olivera has developed personal interpretations of both classical and popular music that have amazed and delighted audiences around the world. For the final concert of the 2015-2016 PipeSounds Series, he will bring an array of "Music to Remember familiar to the public.

Olivera was born in Buenos Aires and began playing the pipe organ at age 3 with his father's encouragement. He studied music at the University of Buenos Aires and the Julliard School of Music.

Olivera has performed in concert throughout the United States and in venues within many countries, including France, England, Australia, Germany, Belgium, New Zealand, China and back in Argentina, where he was welcomed as a national hero with Standing Room Only performances. …
