Brady Sacked the Patriots' QB Can't Evade Deflategate Justice

There was no joy in Beantown Monday. Thanks to a federal appeals court panel, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will serve the four-game suspension imposed on him by the NFL 15 months ago.

Mr. Brady was suspended for being "generally aware" of a plot during the 2015 AFC Championship game to deflate balls the Patriots used on offense. The slightly underinflated pigskins become easier to grip in bad weather.

The Patriots already had a reputation for skirting rules, such as the 2007 case of spying on coaches from other teams, including the Steelers.

"Deflategate" became one of the biggest sports news stories of the year. After an NFL investigation, Mr. Brady was given a four- game suspension and the Patriots were fined $1 million and lost key draft picks.
