The Rams have fled town but a couple local stalwarts who covered them throughout their 21 seasons in St. Louis are reporting this week from the NFL draft, in Chicago. There is still local interest, what with the Rams having traded for the first pick as they try to make a splash heading into their first season back in Los Angeles.

The Post-Dispatch and STLtoday.com's Jim Thomas, believed to be the only person to have not only reported on but to have attended all 431 regular-season, postseason and exhibition games of the "St. Louis" Rams, is covering the events that got underway Thursday and run through Saturday.
