ASHLEY Giles is hoping Lancashire can take advantage of Hampshire's bowling injury crisis.

The Red Rose welcome the south coast county to Emirates Old Trafford tomorrow for the start of their Specsavers County Championship clash.

Hampshire have drawn their opening three matches, but have had to contend with a glut of injuries in their bowling department.

Fidel Edwards broke a leg playing football in the pre-match warm- ups at Yorkshire last month after Reece Topley had broken his hand on his debut in the first match of the season.

It meant Hampshire had to sign Edwards' compatriot Tino Best as cover, and last night they brought in former Worcestershire seamer Gareth Andrews on a one-game contract to face the Red Rose.
