ASSESSMENT PROTESTS

Property owners who want to contest the assessed value of their property may now file an appeal to the St. Louis County Board of Equalization. By state law, all appeals regardless of filing method must be filed or postmarked on or before the second Monday in July. That date is July 11 this year. Late filings cannot be accepted.

Online appeals may be filed at http://revenue.stlouisco.com/ AssessmentAppeal/Forms. A link is also available on the county home page (stlouisco.com).

Paper appeal forms may be obtained at the BOE office, on the second floor of the Lawrence K. Roos County Administration Building, 41 South Central Avenue, Clayton, or at auxiliary offices at 21 Village Square Shopping Center, Hazelwood; 74 Clarkson Wilson Center, Chesterfield; or Keller Plaza, 4546 Lemay Ferry Road, South County. …
