RETIREMENTS

Cindy Martin is retiring after 34 years of owning and operating His & Her Salon & Day Spa. Martin started her career at 1403 S.W. 6th doing business as His and Her Hairstyling for 20 years. She then purchased the property at 3311 S.W. 6th and created His & Her Salon & Day Spa. Martin, who has served on the Kansas Board of Cosmetology, will continue to have sole ownership of His & Her, which will operate under the direction of Y'Sondra Dixon, the manager for the past six years.

Kyle D. Goodwin, director of Special Education for Shawnee Heights Unified School District 450, will be honored at a retirement reception from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the T-Bird Room at Shawnee Heights High School. Goodwin is retiring after 23 years of service to Shawnee Heights USD 450.

Shawnee Heights Unified School District 450 has announced the retirements of the following employees, who will be honored at a reception at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Shawnee Heights High South Commons and at the board of education meeting beginning at 7 p.m.:

- Mary Alford, 30 years of service, 2nd grade teacher, Tecumseh South Elementary.

- Jeanette Broome, 27 years of service, 1st grade teacher, Tecumseh North Elementary.

- Phylis Brucker, 19 years of service, administrative assistant, Shawnee Heights Middle School.

- Sara Buckland, 7 years of service, para educator, Berryton Elementary.

- Marsha Cox, 35 years of service, special education teacher, Berryton Elementary.

- Pamela Davis, 23 years of service, 6th grade teacher, Berryton Elementary.

- Carol Ehalt, 11 years of service, food service, Berryton Elementary.

- Tanya Fraker, 31 years of service, special education teacher, Shawnee Heights Middle School.

- Gary Fulton, 24 years of service, head custodian, Berryton Elementary.

- Kyle D. Goodwin, 23 years of service, director of special education, Central Services Facility.

- Mark Henry, 34 years of service, counselor, Shawnee Heights High School.

- Debbie Morris, 23 years of service, administrative assistant, Shawnee Heights High School.

- Linda Nelson-Bova, 22 years of service, art teacher, Shawnee Heights High School.
