Striker to Extend Stay at Dale with One-Year Deal Penned

CALVIN Andrew has extended his stay at Rochdale after signing a new deal.

The frontman, who was out of contract this summer, signed a one- year-deal on Monday having scored the winner at Colchester in the final game of the League One season 24 hours earlier.

The 29-year-old has been at Rochdale since the summer of 2014 and has made almost 80 appearances for Keith Hill's side.

"I've been here two years and I've enjoyed every minute of it," said Andrew.

"I feel as though the gaffer and the staff at the club get the best out of me.

"It's always good to know where you're going to be next season so I'm really pleased to have sorted my contract situation this early."

The forward said he was pleased to finish the season a high note.

"It's a good feeling to get the goal that has taken us into the history books of this club," he said. …
