Callahan's, the longtime hot dog spot in Fort Lee that closed in 2006, has recently been revived by the founder's grandson, Daniel DeMiglio, with high-profile food trucks and a restaurant in Norwood.

Now, the same name is being used to open a 100-seat restaurant in Fort Lee - by the founder's son, Lenny Castrianni, who is operating separately from nephew DeMiglio.

Castrianni said he plans to open his Callahan's Hot Dog Emporium May 23 at 1400 Anderson Ave. It will include the same basic menu of hot dogs, fries and hamburgers his father used to serve, but Castrianni also plans to offer novelties such as a sushi roll with a hot dog filling, cannolis for dessert and a two-pound hot dog. He said that his 93-year-old mother, Ida, the widow of founder Leonard "Artie" Castrianni, would be there as a greeter. …
