Colon Will Donate to Hall to Commemorate Homer

SAN DIEGO - Bartolo Colon will donate items to the Hall of Fame to commemorate becoming the oldest player in major league history to hit his first homer, but has not decided what to send.

Colon is keeping the bat and ball from his two-run homer off James Shields in the second inning of Saturday's 6-3 win over the Padres, but will choose other items to donate.

Colon is the second-oldest Met to hit a home run behind Julio Franco.

WALKER DOESN'T START: Neil Walker did not start for the second time this season to deal with a bruise on his right shin that he suffered after fouling two pitches off his shin, but he pinch-hit in the eighth inning.

Walker expects to be in the lineup for tonight's series opener against the Dodgers.
