So when herds of zebras, caribou or elephants travel hundreds of miles across inhospitable terrain, we can track this amazing migration with astonishing detail. And Liz Bonnin is on the case to watch as the animals overcome challenges like exhaustion, predators and even poachers.

In tonight's episode, she joins a thousand elephants as they gather in Northern Kenya, following two distinct groups - the bulls as they try to find a mate, and baby orphans whose parents have been killed by ivory poachers. They need an older herd to adopt them.
