MANAGER David Flitcroft is keen for Bury to shake off their FA Cup run as they visit Coventry today.

The Bury boss feels his side are still trying to get back in the groove after reaching the fourth round of the Cup for the first time in eight years.

Since being knocked out by Championship high-flyers Hull two weeks ago, the Shakers have lost 3-0 at in-form Barnsley. That left them 15th in League One, but with games in hand, Flitcroft hopes to close in on the top 10.

"The FA Cup has had an effect on the league form and performances," said the Bury boss.

"We've got games in hand now because of that, whereas someone like Port Vale has been able to keep on with that Saturday to Saturday work and stay in that rhythm, and they're up there challenging for the play-offs. …
