OLDHAM Athletic manager John Sheridan insists he isn't resting on his laurels just yet despite registering back-to-back wins.

Latics are now just one point from moving away from the drop zone after an unbeaten run of five games, including a 2-1 victory at Peterborough on Tuesday and a 2-1 win against Gillingham on Saturday.

There is renewed belief around SportsDirect.com Park that the team will avoid the drop, but Sheridan isn't getting carried away just yet.

"We've just got to keep winning. If we keep doing that, we'll find a way out of the position we are in at the moment," he said.

"It's a good feeling and we are winning games at the moment, so long may it continue. I'm chuffed to bits for the supporters as they have been right behind the teams since I've come back and they are having a good time.
