TWO teenagers rescued a woman trapped inside a burning car.

Josh Parry and Jack Whitworth, both 16, were walking home from an air cadets meeting when they saw a road crash on Banks Lane, Stockport.

One of the vehicles burst into flames. The boys dialled 999 and then their First Aid training learned from sessions at 162 Stockport Air Cadets kicked in. They pulled a woman from the Ford, helped by two men who were in the other car.

They sat the casualties on the side of the road, gave them First Aid and kept them warm. The two men in the Honda Civic were suffering from cuts and bruises to their heads. Police later said the crash victims escaped with only minor injuries.

Josh, who wants to work as an RAF medical officer, said: "It is the first time I have ever used my First Aid skills. We didn't even have to think about it, it all came straight to us. …
