ROCHDALE boss Keith Hill believes his side are on track to retain their League One status ahead of today's clash with Sheffield United.

The Blades travel to Spotland in mixed form to face a Dale side boosted by a 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town in midweek, their first win of February.

Hill said this season compares favourably in some ways to last season, which saw Dale finish in a record high of eighth place.

"A lot has been said about our predicament but we are in a similar position to last year - we've actually lost less games than we had this time last year," he said.

"A few minor adjustments to the draws we've had would have seen us in the same position but I've been reasonably happy with some of the performances.

"I'm not happy when we're losing games but it was great to get a good result against Fleetwood and the result is all-important. …
