Boras: Mets Have Not Talked Money

LOS ANGELES -- Agent Scott Boras said the Mets have not approached him about a possible long-term deal with his client, Matt Harvey. Boras is known for taking his clients into free agency, but this week he negotiated a long-term deal for Stephen Strasburg with the Nationals.

"I always leave it up to the teams to approach us about those things like Washington did with [Strasburg]," Boras told The Record. "We just keep our doors open and evaluate things as they come.''

Boras said he had lunch with Harvey on Thursday, and believes Harvey is in a good state heading into his eighth start tonight against the Rockies. Harvey has an uncharacteristic 4.50 ERA.

"He's keeping his team in a position to win in most games and I think his [velocity] and his strength are fine," Boras said. "He's in great condition."

WRIGHT SORE? Manager Terry Collins indicated third baseman David Wright may have a sore shoulder, but assistant general manager John Ricco said the team has not been informed of any issues. …
