Relatives Reject Coroner's Verdict on Mum's Death

A NEW mum died in hospital two days after giving birth from natural causes, a coroner has ruled - but her family do not accept the verdict and plan to battle on for answers.

Coroner Lisa Hashmi ruled yesterday that Lisa Parkisson, 35, was killed by Sudden Adult Death Syndrome on June 23, 2014, following a c-section delivery of her baby Zac at Royal Oldham Hospital.

She accepted errors were made in Lisa's care, including lack of referral to a specialist, not following medication guidelines, inadequate observation and incomplete documentation - but said these did not cause her death.
