LOUIS van Gaal insists United can still qualify for the Champions League - even if Swansea rest players against rivals City tomorrow.

The Reds need to beat Bournemouth at Old Trafford on the final day and hope Swansea beat City at the Liberty Stadium to finish in the top four. A draw will be good enough for Manuel Pellegrini's side because of their superior goal difference.

Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin has already said he intends to rest key players like Ashley Williams, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Lukasz Fabianski ahead of this summer's European Championship.

But Van Gaal is still confident Swansea can get the job done - as they did when they beat West Ham 4-1 with a much-changed team at Upton Park on Saturday - and do United a favour. …
