FRANKLIN COUNTY > SUV crash kills 1, injures 5 * Brandy King, 29, was killed and four other passengers and the driver were injured when an SUV veered off Highway N and crashed into trees about 3 p.m. Saturday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

King, of St. Clair, died at the scene. The driver, Barbara Norden, 69, of Gray Summit, was seriously injured and taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, in Creve Coeur. Two children, John King, 8, and Jaden Ray, 11, were seriously injured and taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital. Two other children, Joseph King, 6, and Joselyn King, 4, suffered minor injuries, the patrol said. The children all live in St. Clair.

The 2004 Toyota Highlander was heading south about a half mile from Highway 30 when it left the road, went airborne and struck the trees, troopers said. …
