A FAMILY have raised more than Pounds 30,000 in memory of their mum.

The fifth annual fundraising evening organised by Mary Hart's relatives to celebrate what would be her birthday helped reach the total.

The M.E.N reported last month how the party was all the more poignant for daughter Emma, since she herself became a mum in November.

Emma, 28, bravely spoke about the heartache of becoming a mum when you've lost your own mother and her determination to make sure her daughter Olivia will always know about the grandma she was never fortunate enough to meet.

Mary, from Salford, died of a brain tumour in April 2011, aged 54, and her friends and relatives, including her two other children Katie and Tom, have been raising money ever since - making donations to St Ann's Hospice in Little Hulton, where Mary spent her last The Brain Tumour Charity and The Christie Hospital. …
