Wine Finds: Spanish Sparklers for Summer

Sparkling wine is great any time of the year, but those refreshing bubbles are particularly nice on warm days. While they are great sipped alone, their effervescence also makes them a great pair with fatty foods like bratwurst or even french fries. Spanish sparkling wine is usually inexpensive and a good choice for casual gatherings. Most of these wines are labeled as Cava because they come from designated areas throughout Spain. However these sparklers can also come from other areas and are labeled by the appellation. Below are two Spanish sparkling wines made by the mthode Champenoise, the same process used in French Champagne.
