Next, apply an acrylic eggshell emulsion paint as a top coat.

You can get Leyland trade paints from Screwfix.

I prefer acrylic over gloss as it's water based and it cleans and spreads easier.

It dries quickly between coats, too, so you can get the job done without waiting 16 hours between coats.
