Several southern Passaic County traditions of remembrance remain intact this year as Little Falls, Woodland Park and Totowa each will play host to Memorial Day parades, picnics and ceremonies.

Little Falls will hold its parade on Saturday.

The parade starts at 10 a.m., at Little Falls School 3, and participants will march up Main Street to Wilmore Park, where the parade will end. Once at Wilmore Park, Mayor Darlene Conti and members of the VFW posts in town will give speeches in front of the memorial in the park.

American Legion posts 108 and 121 will host barbecues after the parade.

Little Falls Councilman Bill Liess, who is helping to orchestrate the observance, said this year's parade will have more bands and antique cars in it. In the past, the parade has typically featured only the band from Passaic Valley High School. …
