Man Admits in Plea That He Stole from Employer

A Bridgeville man will serve one to two years in the Allegheny County Jail after pleading guilty Monday to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from his employer.

Christopher Yaquinto, 46, pleaded guilty to theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud.

In addition to the jail time, Common Pleas Judge Philip Ignelzi ordered Yaquinto to serve seven years of probation and pay $441,771 in restitution.

He worked as a project administrator for Breen Energy Solutions from September 2011 until Oct. 23, 2014.

According to the criminal complaint against Yaquinto, the day before he was fired, the company's chief financial officer got a call regarding an overdue invoice. The CFO reviewed the records and found that a check listed in the books as having been paid to that company had actually been made payable to Yaquinto. …
