In 70 years of life in America, I have never had a bad president.

Whether he was a Democrat or Republican, I've been fortunate enough to have never missed a meal, been denied medical care, gone without a coat or not had a roof to sleep under.

I have always had the freedom to worship and a place in which to worship, education opportunities, libraries, museums and theaters to visit, sporting events to attend or participate in, and airlines, trains and roads on which to travel.

As a youth, I was eager and able to deliver papers, mow lawns and shovel snow for neighbors, which provided a few dollars with which I felt rich.

While going to college, I had summer employment in the mills, which helped pay tuition leading to a degree and an eventual job teaching for a modest salary in the Pittsburgh Catholic school system for 45 years. …
