WASHINGTON > Director says NGA site passes security check * The director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has told Illinois congressional delegation members that the proposed site for a new NGA facility in north St. Louis passes all security requirements.

"All sites included in the final (environmental impact statement) meet or exceed the security standards required by the Department of Defense to protect our mission and our workforce," Robert Cardillo said this week in a letter to Illinois delegation members.

Cardillo early next month is expected to officially name the north St. Louis site, northwest of downtown, as the place where a new $1.7 billion national intelligence facility will be built to replace the aging Old Arsenal complex, where it is currently housed.
