EAST LANCASHIRE RAILWAY IT'S time to get in the mood as the Chattanooga Choo Choo steams into the East Lancashire Railway this spring bank holiday weekend for the annual 1940s weekend.

The award-winning event makes a triumphant return on 28 - 30 May, and looks set to be the best one yet with more activities than ever before.

There will be 1940s singers and entertainers, live battle scenarios, vintage and military vehicles, WW2 tank displays, military exhibitions, vintage memorabilia stalls, characters from 'Allo, 'Allo, 1940s makeovers, dance sessions, evening entertainment, craft workshops, living history displays, VE Day concert, ration card quiz, vintage cream tea services, hundreds of re-enactors, plus more.
