Our Society Should Be Rejecting Hatred and Violence

Our universe is 13.8 billion years old. Our recorded human history is less than a blink of an eye. It also could disappear with a press of a button.

Our species sadly has not been programmed and wired to be kind and gentle. Evil, unimaginable cruelty and constant perpetual violence permeate our record. We continue to promote violence through our movies, television programs, books, video games, cartoons and even"valentines."

In this country through the 1920s, the Ku Klux Klan was prominent in Pennsylvania. It propagated fear and hate toward Americans of African ancestry, all branches of Judaism, Catholics and"foreigners." Large mobs in the "City of Brotherly Love," Philadelphia, burned down large Catholic churches, as synagogues were burned down in Europe.

We cannot change the past, but we can work toward the future for peaceful co-existence. …
