JOSE Mourinho insists he and Pep Guardiola will both be losers if they allow their bitter rivalry to become personal.

The new United manager will go headto-head with his old adversary, who takes over at City this summer.

It promises to be the defining battle of the season, with both men in pursuit of Premier League supremacy in their new jobs.

But Mourinho - who spent two years at Real Madrid in direct competition with Guardiola's Barcelona - insists they cannot afford to make next season a personal duel.
