TV chef Gordon Ramsay has been ruled out of Soccer Aid 2016 after undergoing surgery. The 49-year-old is upset to be missing out on playing in the charity event on Sunday following an operation on a ruptured achilles tendon.

The former Glasgow Rangers youth player was due to play for Rest Of The World team at Old Trafford, taking to the pitch alongside fellow celebs including Direction heartthrobs Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, singer Olly Murs, TV personality and Heart FM presenter Mark Wright, pop and presenter Marvin Humes, Bolton funnyman Paddy McGuinness, comedian Jack Whitehall and actor Damian Lewis.

New Manchester United boss Mourinho will manage the team, assisted by Unicef UK ambassador Robbie Williams. Gordon, who recently announced he was expecting his fifth child with wife Tana, shared a picture on Instagram from his hospital bed showing his injured foot bandaged up. …
