PHIL Neville is confident England's heavily-scrutinised defence will not prove a massive problem at Euro 2016.

Roy Hodgson's men head to France today having won all three of their warm-up matches, following up 2-1 victories over Australia and Turkey by beating Portugal 1-0 at Wembley.

It was England's first clean sheet of the year and a welcome boost after individual errors led to goals at City's Etihad Stadium and Stadium of Light.

Former United and Three Lions defender Neville is happy enough with the backline, though.

"I think too much is being made of the defence, to be honest with you," he said. "When you have so much attacking talent and the emphasis has been on attacking, your defence is going to suffer.

"You do probably leave yourself a little bit more open or exposed. …
