VILLARREAL will not stand in the way of Eric Bailly's proposed move to United.

The 22-year-old only left Espanyol in January 2015 but could now be set for a move to Old Trafford.

It's been reported United have already agreed a fee of around Pounds 27.6m for the Ivory Coast centre-back as new manager Jose Mourinho bids to rebuild the squad left by Louis van Gaal.

And Villarreal official Fernando Roig Negueroles has suggested the Spanish club are not looking to block a deal that would see them net a Pounds 20m profit in a little over 18 months.

He said: "There is a team that is very interested and if the three parties agree there will be no problems. If the player wants to leave and Manchester want to pay, we will reach an agreement."
