Go Red Girlfriends Teays Valley celebrated its second anniversary recently at Gritts Farm in Eleanor. The special event was designed to offer a fun, fashionable night to help raise funds for the American Heart Association in its fight against heart disease, which is the number one killer of women.

This year's theme was "Boots, Burlap & Heartbeats. The event featured live music from Kelsie May (from the eighth season of NBC's "The Voice) and The Molly Moochers, as well as a survivor fashion show, silent auction, prize raffles, and delicious food -- all for a great cause.

The event raised more than $24,000 -- a $10,000 boost over the previous year's event.
