Wine Finds: Dry Bordeaux Ros from Cadillac

Dry ros wines, which have grown dramatically in popularity, can be made from a wide variety of red grapes and are often blends that use such varietals as grenache, malbec, pinot noir, sangiovese, syrah and tempranillo. However, it's very unusual to find a dry ros made from merlot, particularly 100 percent merlot. So it was a pleasant surprise to discover one from Chteau Suau, located in the Cadillac region of France's Bordeaux. It's compared below with a ros from Ctes-du-Rhne. Both are imported by Kysela Pere et Fils.
