ST. LOUIS * An Olivette man on probation for recent gun and drug crimes has been charged in a fatal shooting in St. Louis last month.

Prosecutors on Monday charged Miles Y. Fisher, 22, of the first block of Tower Hill Court, with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, robbery, attempted robbery, unlawful gun possession and four counts of armed criminal action. He was held in lieu of $750,000 cash-only bail.

Charges say Fisher fatally shot Chavez Mopkins, 22, about 9:50 p.m. May 27 in the 4000 block of Glasgow Avenue and wounded another man, identified in charges only as "K.C."

Court records say Fisher shot Mopkins, took a duffel bag from him while Mopkins was on the ground, then stood over him and shot him again. …
