Chesapeake Elem. Archers Headed to World Tourney ; Clendenin, Elkview Students Also to Compete

Chesapeake Elementary Schools' Wildcats Archery Team of 19 students and Coach Stephen Erskine traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, May 12 to May 14 to compete in the U.S. Nationals competition. The Wildcats team earned enough points at the competition to participate in the World Archery Tournament to be held June 24 through June 26 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The team will compete in both the regular Bulls-Eye Tournament and the 3D Animal Tournament.

This will be Chesapeake Elementary's second consecutive year attending for this level of competition in both tournament styles. Also enrolled to enter the Bulls-Eye competition as teams are student archers from Clendenin Elementary and Elkview Middle schools.

Chesapeake Elementary has been part of the National Archery in the Schools Program for six years. …
