What's Fresh at the Farmers Market This Week

Article excerpt

This week at area farmers markets, look for strawberries, assorted salad greens, bok choy, romaine lettuce, head lettuce, spinach, onions, green garlic, hot house tomatoes, asparagus, local honey, local free-range eggs, duck eggs, mushrooms both wild crafted and cultivated, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, radishes, kale, Swiss chard, arugula, beets, kohlrabi, fennel, green beans, snap peas, cabbage, potatoes, scallions and a variety of herbs. You'll also find plants for your garden. To help you use those radishes (and beets and carrots), we found this recipe for Shaved Golden Beet, Carrot and Radish Salad from last year's Let's Eat.
