Dodgers among Top 25 for Merchandise Sales

OKLAHOMA CITY - The freshly rebranded Oklahoma City Dodgers finished the 2015 season among the top 25 of Minor League Baseball's 160 teams in licensed merchandise sales, Minor League Baseball announced Monday.

The 2015 season was the first for Oklahoma City's Triple-A team to be known as the Dodgers after an ownership change and rebranding from the Oklahoma City RedHawks after the 2014 season.

All Minor League Baseball teams combined for $65.1 million in retail sales last year.

The Dodgers were one of 16 Triple-A and eight Pacific Coast League teams included in the top 25 in licensed merchandise sales. The 16-team PCL generated a league record $13.36 million in merchandise sales last year, an increase of 30 percent from 2014.

The Dodgers experienced merchandise sales that were six times the total sales from 2014, and the team's sales revenues in 2015 equaled those from 2010-14 combined. …
