A LAW student was three times over the drink-drive limit at 8.30am after an all-night drinking binge, a court heard.

Phoenix Jones, 20, was pulled over by police who saw her swerving around the road in her brother's car while driving in north Manchester on a Saturday morning.

Her two female passengers were in the back swigging beer, and the floor was littered with empty cans, prosecutors said.

Jones, who is studying law at the University of Salford, admitted drink-driving when she appeared before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 15.

After pleading guilty, she told the bench: "What I did was stupid.

I put myself and other people at risk".

She admitted a further charge of driving without insurance and earlier told police that she had been knocking back vodka all-night.

The court banned her from the road for 18 months. …
