Second baseman Neil Walker left in the fourth inning Saturday in a game against Milwaukee, two days after being hit in the chest by a hard grounder. Walker made a pinch-hitting appearance Friday against the Brewers. Walker clearly was uncomfortable in his return to the starting lineup, going 0 for 2. He hit into a double play with runners on the corners to end the third.

Pitcher Phil Hughes has a broken bone above his left knee that's expected to require six to eight weeks to heal. An MRI on Hughes revealed an impaction fracture on his femur, a tiny crack caused Thursday when he was hit by a line drive.
