A PARTIALLY-SIGHTED pensioner brutally attacked outside his front door by a thug who stole his wallet has relived his ordeal for a TV appeal.

Les Lightfoot, 68, walks with a white cane and had returned to his flat in Hulme when he was targeted by a man who followed him home from collecting a prescription at a chemist.

Les was punched about the head then fell down stairs within his flat complex on Yew Street, Hulme, after the incident, which took place at 7pm on April 4 The callous thug - who told Les not to fight him - rifled through his pockets and took his wallet. It contained only a small amount of cash and personal documents.

He was left with a badly bruised face and fractured his kneecap in the fall.

Les said he was 'like a quivering jelly' when he regained consciousness in hospital and was told what had happened to him. …
