Jackson County Man Released Three Times since May after Three Rape Arrests

A Jackson County man turned himself in to authorities Friday morning after being accused of -- and arrested in connection with -- sex crimes three times in the past six weeks, according to a county prosecutor.

Jacob C. Ewing, 21, was arrested May 6 on charges of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and battery of an 18-year-old woman, according to Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller.

On the same day he was arrested, Ewing posted a $75,000 bond and was released.

On June 10, another criminal complaint was filed with the Jackson County District Court, this time accusing Ewing of similar crimes in September 2014, according to Miller.

Again, Ewing was arrested on a $75,000 cash or surety bond and released on the day of his arrest. …
