Deadline Approaching for SBA Disaster Loans Covering Spring 2016

Small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, aquaculture businesses and most private organizations in West Virginia have about a month left to apply for a working capital disaster loan through the U.S. Small Business Administration. July 19 is the deadline to apply for a loan as a result of excessive rain, flash flooding, flooding, excessive heat, landslides, mudslides, high winds, hail and lightning from March 1 through Aug. 25, 2015.

This disaster declaration includes the following counties: Cabell, Hancock, Jackson, Marshall, Mason, Ohio, Pleasants, Tyler, Wayne, Wetzel and Wood in West Virginia.

The SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan program is available to eligible farm-related and non-farm-related entities that suffered financial losses as a direct result of this disaster. The SBA determines eligibility and sets loan amounts and terms. …
