* #LetsBreakBread: The rain held off (just long enough!) for roughly 515 guests and friends to enjoy a sit-down summer picnic along the boulevard that helped raise funds for the Joseph A. Massaro Jr. Alzheimer's Research Fund. "This is about awareness, prevention and research. The fact that we were able to bring so many people together to support this cause shows the sense of community we have here in the city," said co-chair and owner of Carabella, Carol Kinkade. The event, which featured All the Best catering along with yummy goodies donated from Oakmont Bakery, replaced the fashion show event that Carabella's had put on for a decade.
