K-State Hoops Hires New Strength Coach

MANHATTAN -- Kansas State announced Monday the hiring of Ben O'Donnell as strength and conditioning coach for the Wildcat men's basketball team.

O'Donnell, a former point guard at Florida State and Central Florida, spent the past five years at Central Florida where he coordinated strength and conditioning for men's and women's basketball and several other sports.

"We feel Ben will bring a high level of energy to the weight room every day," K-State coach Bruce Weber said. "Summer is a really important time in the development of our players so it was critical to get someone who fits well with our team.

"We also think that his background as a basketball player will be a huge positive in developing our players to their greatest potential. …
