TEN years since it first started, Celebrity MasTERCHEF is back for a new series which will see 20 more contestants take to the kitchens to try and impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Or, at least - given some of the rather dodgy culinary standards on display - try to make it through the first round without poisoning them.

We won't say 20 'famous faces' because quite a few of them really aren't. In fact, it's often only because of the name captions and the sultry voiceover that we actually know who they are.

In tonight's first heat, there's Simon Cowell's right hand woman Sinitta and comedy veteran Tommy Cannon, who of course we recognise - plus presenter Donna Air. But Alexis 'TV conman' Conran and 'vlogger' Marcus Butler? Nope, not a clue.

Anyway, it's a level playing field for everyone as they first tackle the mystery box challenge - full of such Mediterranean delights as squid, lamb and feta cheese - before being sent off to professional kitchens to cook lunch for paying diners. …
