Reds Target Zlatan Calls Time on Sweden

ZLATAN Ibrahimovic has confirmed he will retire from international football after Sweden's Euro 2016 campaign.

The United target is set to line up for the Swedes in their must- win Group E clash with Belgium today, where the Scandinavians must win to have any chance of qualifying for the last 16.

It had been reported Ibrahimovic's move to United could be jeopardised by his possible participation in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in August, however the 34-year-old clarified his last international outing would be in the Euros.

"The last game (at Euro 2016) will be my last for Sweden, so I hope it will not be tomorrow," he said.

"I am very proud of what I have achieved and will always bring the Swedish flag with me."

If Sweden, who drew with the Republic of Ireland and lost to Italy last week, are eliminated at the group stage othen United could complete the signing of Ibrahimovic in time for their pre- season tour of China. …
