SPINNINGFIELDS restaurant Scene has come up with the perfect way to work off an Indian feast - with new bhangra dance fitness classes.

The monthly Bhangracise sessions are held on the riverside terrace overlooking the Irwell, led by instructor Rajeev Gupta, whose dance company performed in Danny Boyle's London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.

"It's great fun, it's really enthusiastic, it's all about having a good old knees up and that's why it's a really good dance form and exercise form as well," he said.

"You build up your heart rate, you're working out all your body from your shoulders, your legs, your bums, your tums; it's a fantastic way to get fit."

Originating from the Punjab regions of India and Pakistan, bhangra began as a folk dance performed by farmers to celebrate the beginning of spring and the birth of the new harvest. …
