'Dance Moms' Star Expected to Admit to Federal Charges

Abigale Miller, the "Dance Moms" TV star from Penn Hills, has indicated she will admit to federal bankruptcy fraud charges and related offenses next week.

A change of plea notice was filed Tuesday in which a plea was scheduled before U.S. District Judge Terrence McVerry. She is also set to waive indictment and plead in a separate case in which she was charged Monday with structuring international monetary transactions.

Ms. Miller, 50, formerly of Penn Hills but now living in Los Angeles, was indicted here last year on charges of concealing assets from her TV shows from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in Pittsburgh.

The fraud was discovered when a U.S. bankruptcy judge in Pittsburgh who was channel-surfing one night happened upon her national TV performances and realized she had a lot more money than she was revealing, according to federal prosecutors. …
